- The Backbone One: PlayStation Edition is available today.
While Backbone’s portable consoles are already great for anyone who enjoys playing games on their phones, the new access is specifically for PlayStation users.
Backbone introduces Backbone One: PlayStation Edition, a portable console aesthetically designed to match your PS5 console and DualSense console. The white and gray coloration matches Sony hardware, while the buttons feature the iconic PlayStation icons.
With Backbone One: PlayStation Edition, players can use Remote Play with PS5 and stream their favorite games to their phones, enjoying experiences on the go. The Backbone app has a dedicated row with Sony updates on new PS5 games, so players can remotely install titles to stream them later.
Like the regular Backbone One, there is a 3.5mm headphone jack, so you can use one of the best PS5 headphones and enjoy high-quality sound while playing your games remotely.
The Backbone One: The PlayStation Edition is designed for iPhones, but Backbone recently introduced an Android version of its portable console, so we’ll have to wait and see if an Android model for this new PlayStation variant comes into production.
The Backbone One: PlayStation Edition is now available directly from Backbone and at multiple retailers around the world. It’ll also be available for $100, which is the same $100 price as the regular non-PlayStation-branded Backbone One console.
