What you need to know
- Verizon has launched a new plan called the Welcome Unlimited Plan.
- He wants to help you switch carriers by offering you $240 per line, but you have to bring your own if you want the deal.
- The new plan costs $30 per line, per month for four lines, with automatic payment.
Verizon is offering its Welcome Unlimited plan that includes unlimited calls, texts, and data for $30 per line per month for four lines, with automatic payment.
Verizon says it will also give you a $240 e-gift card per line to “help you cover the cost of the switch,” which goes up to $960 for a family of four. Of course, Verizon says, you’ll need to bring your own device to take advantage of this offer. If you don’t feel like doing that, you can still get some of the best Android phones in a new plan. It should be noted here that if the customer cancels within 12 months, then $240 will be refunded to the customer.
“The Welcome Unlimited program opens the door for more people to switch to the network that more Americans depend on, at a very competitive price,” Verizon Consumer Group CEO Manon Brouillette said in a press release. “Today we’re making it easy for customers to leave their wireless service provider and join Verizon at any entry-level price point when they bring their own devices.
The new plan is available separately from Verizon’s Mix & Match Unlimited plan. This means that it cannot be combined with other Verizon plans. Mix & Match means you were able to get different plans for all the lines in your old account. This new plan requires all lines to use the Welcome Unlimited plan.
The plan also does not include taxes and fees, which Verizon recently raised.
Data is also lower priority on this plan than Verizon’s Get More, Do More, Play More plans.
